The story follows the main character (MC) who grew up with his alcoholic dad, who convinced him from a young age that his mom died in a car accident dfter a rough breakup, losing his job, and facing homelessness, he gets a phone call that flips his world upside down and reveals the truth about his dad.

The MC’s mom, Susan, has been living with massive guilt for not seeing her son for 20 years. She’s a hard-working woman in a senior role at a big company, but her own life’s been tough too, as her previous relationship ended, and she’s got two daughters from that.

The older daughter, who’s also the MC’s sister, runs the house while their mom’s working. When she’s not doing chores, she’s usually vibing to 80s music or watching TV.

The younger sister is a bit of a recluse. After some heavy stuff went down in her teens, she spends most of her time in her room as an Emo Gamer Girl on Twitch, only coming out for food or drinks.
