We want to give players a wider variety of character portraits, but since hand-drawing tons of them would be too expensive and time-consuming, we ran into some issues. We even tried separating parts like the mouth, face, and nose to make 3D characters, but it didn’t turn out great.

So, we decided to give AI a shot. We trained it using content we’d already made to help it understand the art style we wanted. Now, all the AI-generated portraits and illustrations in the game are created by our trained model, though we still manually fine-tune them after the AI does its thing.

We know that AI can’t replace the creativity and originality of real artists, and we’re sorry about that. But we want you to know that “Esports Godfather” is still a game made with heart.
