TAKARA CARDS GAME OVERVIEW

Takara Cards is a roguelike deck-builder where you play as a Cadet on a mission to track down the legendary Space Dragons who stole from the Federation! You get to pick from four unlockable races, each with their own unique ship: Fearless Dwarves, Smart Humans, Mystical Orks, and Flashy Elves. As you explore the galaxy you’ll build your deck with Maneuver and Equipment cards that you earn through events, leveling up, and shopping.

As you dive deeper into the cosmos you can unlock new races, characters, and strategies to dominate your enemies. Pull off insane combos to rack up bonus XP in combat, and don’t worry about rushing your turns—defeating enemies actually recharges your batteries. Your Reputation plays a huge role in the game, and it could be just as important as the cards you pick. Are you a fast learner, a Proud Genius? Maybe you’re a Born Seller who excels at business moves, or a Naive Prodigy, a natural-born pilot? Keep in mind that your Reputation can change over time, depending on how you handle events your actions shape your reputation and deck, and you’ll build up Karma based on how you interact with the world around you.

Respond positively to events, and you’ll earn Blessed Karma and Reputation. Want to go full badass? Guts Karma is out there, too! You can shop for legit equipment from the Guild or take your chances with shady gear from the Pirates. Just be careful—smuggled gear is floating around the galaxy, and you might end up as a mule. If your Thief rep kicks in, you can try to steal cards, but your Karma will affect your chances of getting caught.

In Takara Cards, you’ll get into some deep, turn-based combat with over 140 cards and 40 different units to play with. Customize your character by choosing species, cards, and Reputation. Your Deck is both your Pilot and your Ship, and you’ll build it as you explore the cosmos and complete events. Synergize your cards to clear the board in one go, and destroy enemies to grab resources that can be traded for supplies or used as ammo.

The Exoteric Karma system affects both your character and the events you face. Enjoy voice-acted events inspired by tabletop RPGs, and take in the hand-painted art straight out of 80s anime.
