Passageway of the Ancients takes you back to the golden age of classic CRPGs from the ‘90s and early 2000s. Story & Gameplay The combat is tough, complex, and always throws a curveball. Drawing inspiration from historical weapons and tactics, Passageway of the Ancients features a deep combat system. You’ll start every fight paused, plan your strategy, then dive into real-time combat. You can pause anytime (RTwP – Real Time with Pause) to adjust your plan. How you fight is totally up to you. On top of that, you’ll juggle two personas – a hidden “Dragonkindt” and a public race of your choice (Dwarf, Elf, or Human) – which you’ll need to level up at the same time.

Dragonkindt is a unique creature, part angel, part shapeshifter, and part Dragon. Once thought to be just some crazy legend, these beings are much more than myths. As the story goes, Dragonkindt are from The Children of Xi-Shei, an unpublished novel by Jon Grierson:

“Dragonkindt are part angelic being, part shapeshifter, and part Dragon. These creatures were thought to be merely the phantasms of some eastern poetic genius, inspired prophet, or demented scholar.”
